What sets your studio apart from nearby studios? 

We are not a dance studio. We are a movement that operates under the mantra "Believe You Can Do More.” We seek to extend open arms, inspire creativity, and exude personality through the expression of dance. Believing deeply in the transformative power of music and dance, we hope to make people feel good, come alive and surprise themselves with what they are capable of. What dances do you teach? 

We teach a variety of fun dance styles including Jazz, Hip Hop, and Social Dance, including Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Hustle and more!

 

What's the earliest age a dancer can start? 

“If you can walk you can dance, and if you can talk you can sing.” But of course, please contact us so we can help identify where the best place to start is.

 

I am 55+. Is it too late to start dancing? 

Absolutely not! We believe it is never too late to start anything. Let us be apart of this new dance journey with you! Please contact us so we can help identify where the best place for you to start is.

 

Do you have performances and recitals? 

Yes, we hold regular showcases and annual recitals which features performances from each student!

 

 

CLASSES + LESSONS

 

Do I need dance experience to register for a class? 

We all start somewhere! We offer classes for students of all ages and ability levels. Please contact us so we can help identify the best place for you to start.

How do I register for a class?

The simplest way is through the calendar listed on our website. You’ll be able to follow the prompts to register and pay and be sent any additional information via e-mail. If you are trying to book Creative Souls Dance for your own group class or another service fill out this booking request form. And if you’re or are having trouble registering or booking through our website, please contact us directly at info@creativesoulsdance.com

 

What should be worn to a dance class?

Our dress code ensures that students receive the best possible instruction, minimize injury, increase focus, and develop a strong sense of self-confidence and studio unity. Contact us for specifics depending on the class you are attending. No flip flops or boots allowed.

 

How long are the lessons and classes? 

All lessons and classes are 55 minutes in length, giving the teachers 5 minutes for break in between sessions.

 

Do you offer classes for adults?

We sure do! For adults, we offer Social Dance workshops and Choreography classes, which include Jazz, Hip Hop, Latin, Burlesque and more! Dance is a great way to learn musicality, coordination, balance and social skills at any age. We know adult life can be stressful so let's have FUN! Are your classes only for women? 

No, people of all genders are welcome to enroll in any of our classes! 

 

Do you offer classes for kids?

Of course! For kids, we offer dance fitness (similar to Zumba) and Choreography classes, which can include Broadway, Jazz, Hip Hop, Latin and more! See our calendar or contact us for more information.

 

Do you have Zumba classes?

Yes! We offer multiple weekly dance fitness and Zumba classes for both adults and children. See our calendar or contact us for more information.

 

Do you offer private group classes? 

Absolutely. These are always a blast! Let us help you plan your own private dance class with family, friends, neighbors, colleagues and bridal party in groups of 4+.

 

Do you offer private dance lessons? 

Yes! We believe that one-on-one dance lessons increase the growth of any dancer tremendously. Have a teacher all to yourself and become the dancer you've always wanted to be!

 

Do I need a partner to take a Social or Ballroom dance class? 

A partner is not required to attend a Social or Ballroom dance class. However, please contact us prior to registration if you are planning to dance without a partner so that we can accommodate and best serve you. 

 

How much do your classes and lessons cost? 

Due to COVID-19, we are offering virtual, outdoor, and indoor lessons and classes all at varying prices. If you don’t see a price listed through the calendar on our website, please contact us for prices.

WORKSHOPS

 

How long are your dance workshops? 

The length of our workshops vary, but most last between 4-8 weeks and are an hour long per session. See our calendar or contact us for more information.

How much do your workshops cost? 

Due to COVID-19, we are offering virtual, outdoor, and indoor workshops all at varying prices. If you don’t see a price listed through the calendar on our website, please contact us for prices.

 

Do I need a partner to take a workshop?

A partner is not required for workshops and many people do attend our workshops as individuals in order to refine their skills. When you register for a workshop, you will be able to register as an individual. However, please contact us prior to registration if you are planning to dance without a partner so that we can accommodate and best serve you.

Is dancing good exercise? 

Dancing is a whole-body workout that is FUN. It's good for your heart, makes you stronger, and can help with balance and coordination. A 30-minute dance class can burn between 130 and 250 calories.

 

What are some health benefits of Social and Ballroom dancing? 

Ballroom and Social dancing can enhance your life in so many ways! Not only is it a fun way to exercise, but it can increase strength and stamina, enhance memory and alertness, lifts your spirits, and reduce stress levels and feelings of social awkwardness. 

 

Will dancing help my marriage? 

We believe it will! Dancing can boost confidence and help us express ourselves differently. We have many students who have communicated that our Zumba and Choreography classes have awakened the fire within and made them feel "sexy." Social/Ballroom dancing is a physical sport where you and your partner can move as one. It is teamwork and fun! Social/Ballroom dancing has proven to improve relationships intimately and physically. Can dancing help with confidence? 

Many children and adults who are shy, timid or have trouble presenting a speech, gain great self-confidence through dance and performing. Shyness or nervousness should not prevent you or your child from dancing. Our studio and the stage offers a forum for you and your child’s personality to shine brightly!

 

Can dancing help with Alzheimers and Dementia? 

We witness on a regular basis of how music and dance can make people feel ALIVE. Studies show that music and dancing help keep the mind working, body moving, and spirits lifted. Learning how to dance and moving to music allows us to express ourselves differently. It also has the ability to enhance alertness, reduce anxiety, trigger memories, and keep us healthier.
